Construction Project Manager

Location: Louisville, Kentucky

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $85,000 - $125,000 Yearly

Job Description: A Louisville/Metro certified structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection shop is seeking an experienced,detail-oriented Construction Project Manager/Estimator to work on projects involving structural steel, stairs, railings, and miscellaneous steel items. The ideal candidate should have experience in Division 5 commercial construction project management & estimating, be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and be able to work well under pressure. Consideration will be given to any candidate with some experience in a related steel manufacturing industry.

General Responsibilities: Work closely with other team members (estimators, detailers, fabrication, and erection personnel) to manage a project’s demands, analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project,evaluate and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation, schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines, estimate/negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities associated with each project, work with accounting personnel to manage job costs for individual projects, attending site meetings as the project demands and relate all information to team members,keep up to date with industry standards, codes, and regulations, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field. Will consider experience over degree, minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management/estimating, proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents, and strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Construction Estimator

Location: Louisville, Kentucky

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $85,000 - $125,000 Yearly

Job Description: A Louisville/Metro certified structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection shop is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator. The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of commercial construction projects and ensuring that bids are submitted on time. The ideal candidate should have experience in commercial construction estimating, be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and be able to work well under pressure.

General Responsibilities: Accurately estimate the cost of commercial construction projects, analyze labor, material, and time requirements for a project, create and submit competitive bids on time, experience with conceptual and schematic design budgeting with limited information, schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines, evaluate and analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates, identify and communicate potential risks and opportunities associated with each project, work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather essential project details for accurate estimations, prepare reports detailing the cost for individual projects, work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure the accuracy of estimates and bids, develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers, attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather information for estimates, keep up to date with industry standards, codes, and regulations, prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors, and other duties as assigned.

Structural Steel Detailer

Location: Louisville, Kentucky

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $30 - $40 Hourly

Job Description: Our client is a Louisville/Metro certified structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection shop is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented structural steel detailer to work on detailing projects such as stairs, railings, and miscellaneous structural steel.

General Responsibilities: Able to work independently with the ability to collaborate with other employees, attend weekly meetings, able to create and modify drawings using SDS-2, strong communication in oral and written skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Organized with strong time management skills. Other duties specific to the position.

Qualifications: Must be experienced in using SDS-2 software to prepare shop drawings from architectural and structural project drawings, experience in Tekla, Solid Works, and other 3-D software is a plus but not mandatory, 3 to 5 years of experience, and must reside within commuting distance of Louisville, KY. This is an in-house position that may allow some remote work within one year.

Entry-Level Structural Steel Detailer

Location: Louisville, Kentucky

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $20 - $25 Hourly

Job Description: Our client is a Louisville/Metro certified structural and miscellaneous steel fabrication and erection shop is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented entry-level structural steel detailer to work on detailing projects such as stairs, railings, and miscellaneous structural steel.

General Responsibilities: Able to work independently with the ability to collaborate with other employees, attend weekly meetings, able to create and modify drawings using AutoCAD desired, strong communication in oral and written skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, organized, with strong time management skills, and other duties specific to the position.

Qualifications: Experienced in using Tekla or similar software (SDS-2, AutoCAD, or Advance Steel) to prepare shop drawings from architectural and structural project drawings preferred but not required, 0 to 2 years of experience, experience in structural and miscellaneous steel construction and fabrication preferred but not required, must reside within commuting distance of Louisville, KY, previous experience in construction estimating and structural steel will be considered, CADD Detailer desired, and accustomed to working with a Structural Steel Craftsman or a similar system preferred but not required.
